Fernanda Takai records third album with guitarist The Police

Fernanda Takai will record his third solo album in partnership with Andy Summers, guitarist The Police. Takai is traveling to Santa Monica, Calif., where he will begin the process of production in the studio Summers, says the press statement issued on Wednesday (15).

The idea came from teaming on DVD "United Kingdom of Ipanema", produced by Roberto Menescal, which is a mutual friend of the pair. At the time, Andy - who also produced the album sung by Takai - already showed the sympathy of the musician with the voice of the Brazilian. "I learned that Andy had composed several songs thinking about my voice. He is deeply influenced by bossa nova and wanted to make an album that reflected that," Takai said at the time of the project.

In addition to Andy, Fernanda has the band Marcos Suzano (percussion), Senior Abraham Laboriel (bass) and shares of other foreign musicians have not revealed.
